What you will take away

A working understanding of co-processing, end to end

From feedstock selection through to carbon accounting, in a single focused session, with the expert and your peers in the room.

The potential of co-processing

A clear picture of how co-processing can deliver SAF within existing refinery infrastructure at scale.

Refinery risk, navigated with confidence

The key technical and operational risks of co-processing, and the mitigation approaches in use today.

How feedstocks behave in a refinery

Which feedstocks are ASTM-approved, which are emerging, and how each behaves at different insertion points.

Biogenic content and carbon intensity

CORSIA default CI values, C14 analysis, and the methodology for determining biogenic content in co-processed fuels.

Direct access to the trainer

Dedicated Q&A with Susan throughout the session. Bring the questions specific to your refinery, feedstock or accounting position and get them answered live.

Peers from across the value chain

Learn alongside refiners, airlines, feedstock suppliers and consultants tackling the same decisions, and hear the questions they are asking.

Susan Van Dijk

Biofuels and SAF expert

Susan has been a biofuels expert for 15 years, with a core focus on conversion technologies for the production of drop-in biofuels and sustainable aviation biofuels (SAF). Her expertise lies in the commercialisation of various technology pathways for SAF production, including gasification and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, pyrolysis and hydrothermal liquefaction and upgrading of biocrudes, lipid-based technologies, biochemical pathways, and co-processing of bio-intermediates within petroleum refineries.

Who should attend

Built for practitioners across the value chain

Refinery, fuel production and aviation sustainability teams who need technical depth on co-processing.

  • Petroleum refineries

Operations, technical and commercial teams evaluating co-processing as a route to SAF production.

  • Fuel producers

Teams assessing co-processing pathways alongside dedicated SAF production routes.

  • Feedstock providers

Suppliers of fats, oils, pyrolysis oils and biocrudes seeking to understand refinery requirements and compatibility.

  • Airlines and airline representatives

Those with responsibility for fuels and sustainability who need to understand the co-processing supply chain.

  • Consultants

Advisors supporting clients across the energy transition who require technical depth on co-processing.

  • SAF accounting experts

Professionals working on carbon accounting, book-and-claim or CI determination who need to understand the production process.

Multiple bookings

Bring the team.

Co-processing decisions cut across technical, operations and commercial. Train them together.

  • Everyone works from the same understanding of feedstocks, insertion points and CI, so the internal debate starts further along.
  • Questions get answered live, in front of the whole team, rather than relayed second-hand.
  • Every delegate receives the recording, materials and their own certificate of attendance.

Group and in-house sessions are arranged directly. Email nick.cassidy@safcongress.com with the number of delegates and we will come back to you with options.
